I’m so glad you’re here
I’m S. Jo-Anne, author, fintech marketer and agency founder, and the woman behind Shekinah House; a social impact mission committed to building spaces and building futures for women and creatives everywhere.
Listen, I’ve built a successful career in the tech industry, working across marketing and business strategy for some of the world’s most promising emerging tech companies. On paper, it was everything I had worked toward in my twenties. But alongside that path, I’ve always felt something else; a deeper pull toward integrating purpose with work that feels human, purposeful, and soulful.
I believe many women recognise this feeling.
A sixth sense that there is more to life than what we build professionally or what we produce.
A desire to create something meaningful; not just in our careers, but in how we live, connect, and contribute.
If you’re here, you may feel it too.
Shekinah House was born from that instinct, but it was shaped by experience. In 2014, I traveled to the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda. What I witnessed there, the resilience, the rebuilding, the strength of community, left a lasting imprint on me. It changed the way I thought about purpose, about impact, and about the responsibility we carry to presently participate in our life’s journey.
Since then, I’ve carried that perspective into everything I do, from business, to writing, to personal life.
Today, I’m building this space as an extension of that journey. A place where women and creatives can come to connect, grow, and explore what meaningful work looks like for them in a world that is constantly shifting. A place that holds both ambition and reflection, both career and creativity.
Because I understand the tension so many women live with; the balancing of work, life, expectation, and the ongoing journey of becoming who you are meant to be.
This is a space for that process. And for everything that comes with it.
